What Cabo Roig Means to Me

Though I am English by birth I feel very attached to the lovely Costa Blanca village of Cabo Roig having now lived here for almost 6 years. My wife and I first came here in 2002 on an inspection trip looking for a property to buy in the area, we actually stayed in Torrevieja and were shown properties in that area as well as Villamartin and the Mar Menor. We were brought to Cabo Roig to look at some apartments, but while driving down to the seafront in the area known as Aguamarina, we spotted a house right on the seafront and just had to have a look. Well out of our price range and almost treble our proposed budget, it was a pretty silly thing to do, but of course on seeing the house with its wonderful sea views across to La Manga and beyond, we fell in love with it and there was no going back. Buying the house was a traumatic experience and got us into some serious debt, but we have never regretted our choice and have come to love the place called by many "the Jewel of the Costa Blanca". In this blog I shall tell some stories of our times here and post some pictures for those of you who have never been here.
